Maju Mantilla, Miss World 2004, gets married with Gustavo Salcedo

Former Miss World Maria Julia “Maju” Mantilla got married to her now husband Gustavo Salcedo, during the civil union held at the municipality of San Borja in Peru, on January 19th.

Silvia Cornejo, Miss World Peru 2006 and Miss Tourism Queen International 2008, long time friend of Maju, participated as a witness along with Rosanna Salcedo, Gustavo’s sister.

Maju Mantilla was crowned Miss World 2004 during a ceremony held in Sanya, China. She became the second peruvian to win the title (Madelaine Hartog was the first, in 1968). Over the years, she has remained active in the show business and as an entrepeneur.
