The Look: Sculptural, architectural are the buzzwords that define a Stephane Rolland collection. And this was no exception. Organza and gazar cascade down the models as if they are organic extensions of the wearer's bodies. Spanish supermodel Nieves Alvarez opened the show with a an ivory jumpsuit of silk organza featuring linebacker shoulders and the show ended with a "Goldfish" Queen.This is couture for the brave, and not the wallflowers.This is "Butterfly" Couture.



Colors: Golden hues, canary yellow, mustard, ivory, navy blue.



Trends: Cascading volants EVERYWHERE; Voluminous backs; capes; varnished leather; glass sequined linings.

The Look: Couture Debutantes need party dresses and Giambattista is your man! Lots of Cocktails dresses, fabulously embellished coats and tulle over satin. Flower and animal prints in sumptuous silks. High-low dresses were big. Colors: black, white, pinks, and yes, "highlighter" yellow (a popular color this season also seen at Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2013). My favorite looks were the Watteau-back, mini, long-sleeve dresses: DIVINE.
